Woman checking a porch delivery alert on her phone next to a LookOut camera stuck inside her front window

The camera saw it all. The plan saved nothing.

The package was on the porch at 2 p.m. By 4 p.m. it was gone, and the camera saw it all. But the plan had lapsed, so nothing was saved.

That's how most home security works now: the camera is the bait, the monthly plan is the product. LookOut™ flips it. It sticks inside your front window, sends person alerts to your phone and records to a microSD card you own (sold separately).

Pay once. See your porch from anywhere. No plan required to record.

Nothing mounted outside the house, LookOut camera inside the window

Built for the inside of your window.

Ask any security forum how to film through a window and you get the same answer: kill the infrared, use the porch light, press the lens flat to the glass. LookOut™ is built around exactly that.

🪟 Glass-side mount — the 2.1-inch cube sticks inside your window. Nobody outside can reach it and rain never touches it.

💾 Own your footage — clips record to a microSD card inside the camera (up to 128GB, sold separately).

🎨 No-IR color low-light — nothing to bounce off the glass, and person detection alerts you when someone walks up.

Pay once. Keep your recordings.

One year of Ring Protect Multi is $99.99. Google Nest Aware is $100. Over 5 years, that's around $500 just to keep your recordings.

LookOut™ is a one-time purchase. Live view, person alerts and two-way talk work from the app, and clips save to your own microSD card. The app offers an optional cloud plan, but you never need it to record.

Result: your porch, your footage, no bill.

What the window camera sees by day and at night with the porch light on (illustration)

Sees at night. Just leave the porch light on.

Most window cams promise "like daylight." Here's how it really works: LookOut™ has no infrared, so nothing reflects off the window, and its color low-light sensor uses your porch light or the streetlight. In total darkness, no window camera sees well.

✔︎ Leave a porch or motion light on outside
✔︎ Turn off lamps right behind the camera
✔︎ Keep the lens flat against the glass

Tinted, low-E or screened windows can reduce image quality. Not sure about yours? You have 30 days to send it back.

Renter sticking a LookOut camera to the inside of an apartment window

Made for renters and HOA homes.

No drilling, no exterior install, nothing for a landlord or HOA to spot on the front of the house. The 3M mount peels off cleanly, and LookOut™ comes with you to your next place.

Some HOAs and leases also regulate window cameras, so check your rules. Point LookOut™ at your own property only. Audio laws vary by state: in all-party-consent states (such as CA, FL, IL, MD, MA, PA, WA), we recommend turning audio recording off.

Protection without the catch

Every other camera taxes you with a fee, a drill or a theft risk. LookOut™ removes all three at once.

🪟

Untouchable placement

Behind your own glass: safe from thieves and weather, invisible from the street, no drilling and no HOA or landlord permission — fully renter-friendly and portable.

💵

True ownership, zero fees

Live view and alerts reach your phone with no card needed — add your own microSD (sold separately) if you want clips recorded. Buy once, own it outright — no subscription required, ever.

👀

Smart, honest clarity

2K + person detection for real alerts (not every cat or car), and color low-light night vision with no infrared to glare off the glass.

Own it once — for less than a year of Ring

Pro-installed security cameras (+ drilling)$600–$1,200
Ring / Arlo + subscription$96–$200 / yr
LookOut™ — no fee, no drill, 30-day returns$49.99 once

Own your security — don't rent it. One payment, protected for good.
Ring Protect Multi $99.99/yr, Arlo Secure from $7.99/mo, as published Oct 2026. Pro install: national average ranges. Trademarks belong to their owners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a subscription?

No subscription is required. Live view, motion and person alerts, two-way talk and microSD recording all work without a paid plan. The companion app offers an optional cloud-storage plan, but you never need it to record or replay your clips.

Is a microSD card included?

No. The camera records to a microSD card up to 128GB, sold separately. Without a card you can still watch live, get alerts and talk through the camera. You only need a card to save clips and play them back later.

Will it really see anything at night through the glass?

Yes, if there is some light outside. LookOut™ uses a color low-light sensor with no infrared, so nothing reflects off the window. A porch light, garage light or streetlight gives you a usable color picture. In total darkness no window camera sees well, so leave an outdoor light on.

Will my HOA or landlord allow it?

Nothing is drilled or mounted on the outside of your home, which is why many renters and HOA homeowners choose a window camera. Some HOAs and leases also regulate window cameras, so check your rules before you install.

Will the adhesive damage my window?

No. The 3M mounting pad sticks to clean glass and peels off without tools. Extra mounting stickers are in the box if you move the camera.

What about tinted or low-E windows and screens?

Tinted, low-E coated or screened windows can reduce image quality, especially at night. Keep the lens flat against the glass. If the picture isn't good enough on your window, use our 30-day money-back guarantee.

Is it legal to record audio?

Talking to a visitor through two-way talk is fine, because you're part of the conversation. Recording conversations you're not part of is regulated by state law. In all-party-consent states such as California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania or Washington, we recommend turning audio recording off in the app. This isn't legal advice.

How hard is the setup?

About 5 minutes: stick the mount to the glass, plug in the USB-C power, and scan the QR code in the app. No batteries, no wiring, no drilling.

How long is delivery?

Orders ship within 24 hours with free tracked U.S. shipping, import duties included, delivered in 8–12 days. Questions? Email support@jarretthome.com or call (607) 414-8659.
